Ferrari’s Spirit of Nerina Continues To Lead 2014 Melges 32 Audi Tron Sailing Series Event No. 1 — Naples

Naples, Italy - The wind changed from Scirocco to Libeccio, but the rankings do not — Andrea Ferrari’s Spirit of Nerina remains the unprecedented leader of the 2014 Melges 32 Audi Tron Sailing Series Naples Edition.

Three additional races were conducted featuring very light and unstable breeze. Ferrari's boat collected a 9-point-margin over Alessandro Rombelli’s Azimut by Stig with tactician and olympic champion Freddy Loof. The podium is completed with Eduardo Lupi’s Torpyone.

With two more races left before racing concludes, teams that are fightiing hard to conquer are the Valentin Zavadnikov’s Russian Synergy GT and tactician Michele Ivaldi, as well as the new Arturo Di Lorenzo's team of Malafemmena guided by Matteo Ivaldi.

The Naples edition is organised by B.Plan Sport&Events in cooperation with Melges Europe hosted by the Comitato Grande Vela. The event ends tomorrow with two more races starting at 11.30.
