There Is Still Time To Register For The Melges 24 North Americans, August 22-26

10 August 2012

The days are winding down as the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association inches ever closer to the 2012 North American Championship, hosted by the San Francisco Yacht Club in San Francisco, California on August 22-26. Twenty-four teams have committed to race at what will be an incredibly exciting Championship, so what are you waiting for? San Francisco is one of the greatest places on earth to sail, and...

USMCA just received word that the San Francisco YC has offered to waive the late entry fee for any additional West Coast boats that are able to sign-up last minute for the event.

Register Online now if you have not already.

With the build up to the Worlds next October, all the excitement of the America’s Cup activities in town at the same time, and a great sailing and social programme being laid on by SFYC, the North Americans will be a fantastic long weekend of Melges 24 racing.

Registration opens on Wednesday, however boats can still arrive on Thursday, teams just need to be registered and afloat by 6pm that night.

The Championship runs from Friday thru Sunday. There will be no start signal after 3 o’clock on the final day so everyone will be out of the water and ready to hit the road by that evening (priority can be given to teams who have a long haul home and need to get on the road).

The USMCA is ready to help teams find accommodations, etc. All teams need to do is reach out to International Admin Fiona Brown, USMCA President Chris Farkas, and USMCA Admin, Joy Dunigan and let them know what you need assistance with.
