Michael Illbruck's 'Pinta' Races to Victory In Cala De'Medici
16 July 2008
Congratulations to Michael Illbruck and his team aboard Pinta as they won the 2008 Melges 32 Audi Sailing Series Event No. 3, Cala De'Medici in Rosignano! Racing in Italy was more intense than ever with Stefano Di Properzio on Mataran taking charge on day one, Claudio Recchi on Uka Uka Racing commanded day two, and Illbruck made the final sweep on day three, ultimately running away with the trophy. A special thanks to the yacht club and all the participants that were able to attend!
Illbruck enjoys many sailing accomplishments and his generosities extended to the Melges 32 fleet in Europe are equally incredible. A very special thank you is extended to Michael on behalf of the International Melges 32 Class Association for his contributions, in particular at Cala De'Medici. On Thursday, Illbruck organized a training day, and on Friday the fleet enjoyed a pizza and beer party on the dock after racing courtesy of the Pinta program. Thank you Michael!
