Key West, Florida - The overnight results stand for today as racing was cancelled around noon at ACURA Key West 2008 presented by Nautica. Joe Woods on Red holds the leader position followed by defending champion Claudio Recchi on Let's Roll. In third is Marty Kullman and Mike Carroll on New Wave.

After more than an hour-and-a-half of waiting and the race committee diligently working to set a course, the breeze failed to show for the Melges 32 class. The conditions were simply perfect for anything else but sailboat racing — warm temps and beautiful sunny blue skies rarely produced anything above 3 knots and in some areas a slight single knot barely registered.

An incredible Melges Rocks party is scheduled for all Melges competitors tonight. With the absence of racing today, everyone should be fully charged for this evening's festivities!

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the forecast reveals almost identical conditions. On Friday, the breeze is supposed to visit the course again — 20+ breeze with gusts to 25.
